Empowering families – creating brighter futures
Welcome to Southwark Parent Carer Forum

Southwark Independent Voice (SIV) was created in 2019 by a group of Southwark parent volunteers of children/young people with SEND aged 0-25.

Having previously struggled to access services and support we decided to come together to improve the pathway and outcomes for families of children/young people aged 0-25 with SEND in Southwark.

Fundamentally, at Southwark Independent Voice (SIV), we work to ensure that families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Southwark are heard, supported, and empowered.

Our Friendly Committee

SIV was created by a group of parents that spent many years in and out of crisis, feeling totally alone and abandoned. We were extremely lucky that our paths crossed and our well being improved.
